I don’t pull any punches and this information will help you to invest your money wisely and make sure that buying those great new rims is the enjoyable and rewarding experience you want it to be.

When buying new wheels there’s only one (well actually two) decisions that have to be made. And they’re answered by two questions.

1. The most important …. “Will these rims look great on MY vehicle?”
2. “Can I afford the price?”

Which one causes you the most difficulty? Well, if you’re like most people, its question number 1.

But…let’s start with question number 2 because its the easiest to address. Its quite simple, you look at the price and either you can pay the ticket or you can’t. You can:

• get a consumer loan at your lending institution
• use your credit card
• borrow from a friend or relative
• pay cash

See…pretty easy to do.

Now comes the real challenge and frankly, the reason why most people don’t buy new wheels. Or the reason most vehicles with aftermarket wheels look goofy.

That’s right. You go into a retail store or shop online. See a great looking style and get all excited. But what happens next can cause a Marines Drill Sargeant to shake in terror.

You decide to buy them. You take delivery (online purchase) or get them installed and…”Oh No!” They look like crap on your vehicle. Sure, when you were shopping, the guy in the store said “Yeah, they’ll look fantastic on your car.”

The dillema is even worse shopping online. How can you tell by looking at a little thumbnail picture of a rim that it’s gonna look good on your vehicle?

And if you buy online, and they don’t look good on your vehicle, the merchant probably won’t answer you email requesting a return. They’ve got your money, now the “how they look” problem is yours.

Sound negative? Sound scary? Well it oughto because it really can be.

• you don’t know how long they’ve been in business
• most of the brands you’ve never heard of before
• many just list product numbers and prices with no pictures (duh!)
• don’t tell you if your choice is in stock
• most of them don’t have a warehouse and have to order your wheels for you from a distributor (maybe even the distributor we like)
• prices are usually lost leader to grab your attention (”Oh, we no longer carry those wheels.” or “We’re out of stock. It’ll take 6-8 weeks to get them.”)
